What will it be like?
Your hypnotherapy appointment with Peggy will feel similar to a guided meditation. Being hypnotized is not like being asleep – you will be very aware of what is happening, even though you are in a very relaxed state. It is also important to know that a Hypnotherapist cannot ‘make you’ do anything that you don’t want to do. Your Hypnotherapist will simply help guide you to lead your own mind and body to the positive change
you are seeking.
Hypnotherapy is quite different from traditional counselling/talk therapy. There is normally some talking at the very start, to make sure you and your Hypnotherapist are on the same page in terms of what your goals are. But how much you want to share is entirely up to you. There are benefits to really helping your Hypnotherapist understand your context and the change you want – but it’s not entirely necessary.
How long to
notice results?
Most people receive the results they want within 4-6 Hypnotherapy sessions. However, this is completely individual, of course.
Some find results even more quickly, while others require more time.
Each Hypnotherapy appointment generally runs
one to two hours, but this too can vary, depending on the specific techniques and approach being used.

Important!
For Hypnotherapy to be effective it is critical that clients are:
- Open to the process, and
- Truly committed to the change they are seeking.
(It won’t work if you’re only doing it because of someone else, or if someone is ‘making you’.
As stated above - it is impossible for a Hypnotherapist
to ‘make you’ do anything
you don't truly want for yourself.)
